Whether they join construction crews or launch their own projects, our graduates are ready to build with precision—and lead with pride.
In Year One, students jump into the world of construction by building core knowledge and foundational skills. They learn the essential duties of an assistant—identifying and safely using tools, equipment, and materials, communicating clearly on the job, working as a strong team member, and maintaining top-level safety and housekeeping standards. Students also get their first taste of real-world work through hands-on, practical training on active job sites.

In Year Two, students take a big step forward—moving from basics to real construction work. They learn to carry out standard masonry construction and repairs with precision, mastering building layout and the proper laying of brick, block, and stone. Training ramps up with advanced safety skills, including maintaining safe worksites, using tools confidently, and operating heavy machinery correctly. Students also explore the exciting specialty areas within the masonry field and will select their own specialty at the end of the year.

They become highly skilled in a wide range of building techniques, confidently use the full spectrum of masonry tools, and develop strong expertise in blueprint reading. By graduation, students are ready to lead small projects, guide teams, and tackle complex carpentry and masonry challenges with confidence.
